🏛️Since its founding in 1976, the Commission has worked to protect Pound Ridge’s historic buildings and landmarks, ensuring that future generations can experience the rich history and unique charm that define our community.

🎉As we celebrate this milestone anniversary, we extend our sincere gratitude to the dedicated commissioners, past and present, whose time, expertise, and commitment have safeguarded our shared heritage.

🇺🇸 Today, the Town of Pound Ridge proudly celebrated our nation’s upcoming 250th anniversary by dedicating a new memorial plaque honoring the local men and women who served in the American Revolution.

Now permanently installed outside Conant Hall alongside the Town’s memorials to veterans of World War I, World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War, this tribute ensures that the legacy of our Revolutionary War patriots will continue to inspire generations to come.

Thank you to the Pound Ridge Historical Society, especially President Joanne Mineo, Archivist Emmett O’Keeffe, Town Historian Johanna O’Keeffe, the 4th New York Regiment, Boy Scouts Troop #1, Boy Scouts Troop #170, Supervisor Kevin Hansan, and everyone who joined us for this memorable and meaningful celebration.

As we kick off Independence Day weekend, we celebrate the enduring spirit of freedom, community, and service that has defined our nation since its founding.

On behalf of the Town of Pound Ridge, it is an honor to dedicate this monument to all those of this community who served in the War of the Revolution. May their service never be forgotten.
