One of the biggest misconceptions about design is that it's all about making things look pretty. In reality, great design is often about the small details that no one really thinks about.

I've recently been updating a Buyer & Seller Guide for a wonderful realtor client of mine, and I thought this was a great example of how a few simple tweaks can completely transform how a design looks, flows, and reads.

Some of the changes I made:
✔️ Align text consistently (centered, left-aligned, or right-aligned—not a mix of everything)
✔️ Keep equal negative space around the entire design
✔️ Use fonts that are clear and easy to read
✔️ Make sure colors and typography match the brand
✔️ Keep spacing between elements consistent

None of these changes are dramatic on their own, but together they create a design that feels more professional, polished, and trustworthy.

Thankfully, you don't have to worry about spotting all those little details... that's what me and my overly design-obsessed eyes are for. 😂🩷
