❤️ Three Generations. One Vassar Family. ❤️
When Svetlana Cohen joined Vassar Brothers Medical Center in 1996, she never could have imagined just how deeply Vassar would become woven into her family's story.
Just months after appearing in a Vassar advertisement in 1997, Svetlana welcomed her first daughter, Danielle, at Vassar. Years later, Danielle would return, not as a patient, but as a member of the Vassar team, working in registration after graduating from college.
Now, the story comes full circle. As she prepares to welcome her own baby at Vassar, another generation of this family's journey is about to begin.
And that's not all. Svetlana's other daughter, Alexandra, is also part of the Vassar family, working as a patient care technician, continuing a tradition of service and connection that spans decades.
Today, Svetlana serves as a Professional Development Specialist RN in Nursing Education, helping new employees begin their own Vassar journeys through orientation. She welcomes team members into the organization she and her family proudly call home.
From a young nurse in a 1997 advertisement to a mother, mentor and now grandmother-to-be, Svetlana's story is a reminder that Vassar is more than a hospital: It's a place where generations of families grow, care and create lasting memories.
💙 Please join us in celebrating Svetlana and her daughters, Danielle Rose and Alexandra Cohen, and this beautiful family legacy.
