🌚A rare "seasonal Black Moon" will occur in August 2025, on the 22nd and 23rd, depending on your time zone. This is when the third new moon in a season with four new moons appears. It's a celestial event where the moon will be between Earth and the Sun, making it invisible from Earth. While not visible, it offers a great opportunity for stargazing, particularly to view the Milky Way, as the night sky will be darker than usual during a new moon
🌑 There are two types of Black Moons: monthly and seasonal. A monthly Black Moon is the second new moon in a single calendar month, which happens about once every 29 months. A seasonal Black Moon, like the one happening this August, occurs when there are four new moons in a season (typically summer or winter), with the third being the Black Moon. This happens about once every 33 months.
