Today I had the honor of spending part of International Women’s Day supporting my best friend Satara Brown at her powerful event, Rooted and Restored. Watching her lead a space focused on healing, reflection, and empowerment was a reminder of just how impactful women are when they step fully into their purpose.

International Women’s Day, observed each year on March 8, is a global moment to recognize the social, cultural, economic, and political achievements of women while continuing the call for equality and opportunity.

It also falls during Women’s History Month, a time set aside each March in the United States to honor the countless contributions women have made throughout history and the ways they continue to shape our communities and our future.

Today reminded me that celebrating women is not just about recognizing the icons in history books. It is also about uplifting the women in our lives who are doing the work every single day. Women who are creating spaces for growth, healing, leadership, and transformation.

Satara, I am incredibly proud of you and the work you’re doing through Rooted and Restored. Your voice, your vision, and your commitment to helping others reconnect with themselves is truly inspiring.

As we celebrate International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month, let’s continue to uplift, support, and invest in the women around us. Our communities are stronger because of them.
