New tub had so many wood shavings, I halfway expected to find a few gerbils..🤷‍♀️😂

This is soot, likely from heavy, frequent use of candles or incense. If you like burning candles or incense remember, if it's leaving a residue like this on your windows, you have to wonder what it's doing to you, your kids and your pets. Moderation, always.
