So then is there anything we must fear?

Matthew 10:28: "And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." The "fear of the Lord" primarily describes reverential awe, love, and humble obedience to God, rather than simple fear or dread. This godly fear serves as the foundation of wisdom, prompting one to avoid sin, make good decisions, and walk in confidence. It involves acknowledging God's majesty and power while simultaneously cherishing His love and forgiveness, leading to a deep adoration and a desire to please Him.
