From a roadside moment to a life-changing outcome - this is what happens when compassion stops, listens, and says yes. 🧡
While Volunteer Client Outreach Coordinator, Debbie and her team were doing other Fences For Fido outreach in Warm Springs, they saw two dogs in different homes, living on chains and made a quick decision to stop and talk with their families. Debbie invited them to apply for our help - and they did.
That’s how Bammer and Pakuun became Fidos. 🐾
Debbie sent our Vet Care Coordinator, Karen a request for neuters and then followed up by providing transport to the vet. Soon after, the Fido Team returned to build them safe, secure enclosures.
Bammer was friendly from the start - all about pets, love, and attention. Pakuun was much more shy and unsure, keeping his distance at first. But once he was safely inside his new enclosure, everything changed. He relaxed, explored, enjoyed the toys and treats we brought, and even had one of the kids right there playing with him.
Both families were incredibly appreciative and so happy to see their dogs safe, free, and cared for.💙
