A few years ago, this was a big-box retail building. Today, it's home to Compass Oncology's new East Portland cancer center.

Projects like this remind us why we enjoy adaptive reuse. Existing buildings can offer a faster path to care while creating opportunities to transform underutilized spaces into environments that support healing, comfort, and connection.

For Compass Oncology, our team reimagined a former retail space as a patient-centered cancer treatment facility with abundant daylight, views to nature, and thoughtfully designed spaces for patients, families, and care teams.
