I’m tired in the good kind of way as I write this. We will get underway and head for Portland Monday.
When we get to these moments when we feel as though we have arrived I find I mostly look back upon the journey. This is where to find the heart. In seeing this boat come into it’s beautiful form today, it was with profound humility I realize I am only here now because of everyone who has been helpful, loyal, kind, who has helped me in the keeping of this boat and who has come before.
I do this part of my year with my whole heart. The spring. Sam and Luke, we have done good work and I look forward to sailing her with you this summer. 18 years on my own with her. My adult life. Raised by a metal ship, I think if I had had the words I would not have had the language < 3

You can walk down to our waterfront, along the fish piers with the seagulls and the wharf cats, and a bit further to where the ferry boats tie up. You’ll find us here.
Frances sails five days a week, welcoming picnics, celebrations, and restful time on the water. Afternoons and evenings. Charter for larger parties or private occasions. All inquiry welcome.
Season’s open June 9.

From my first week back onboard. We’ve had some sunny mild days up the river, a boom repair, and interior work just wrapping up. It has been a beautiful April so far.
