A quote from Alan Watts' autobiography, concerning retirement, which for him meant living in the fog-shrouded foothills of Mount Tamalpais north of San Francisco.

Well, my whereabouts for the moment are still in Maine, but life changes and plans for wandering the country in elderhood have led me to pause Reiki Community Health & Wellbeing indefinitely.

I said good-bye to Portland Recovery Community Center last week. Together, we've given 1102 Reiki sessions there since November 2022. Nancy and Andrea will continue volunteering, and there are several new volunteers coming soon. It's been my honor and privilege to give Reiki there!

I backed up our website and took it down today, but kept the reikichw.com domain name, in case there's a call to revive it in the future.

I'll keep this page up and running for a while, probably as long as I'm still on FB, same as for my older Reiki pages.

For now, I'll be wandering, doing some inner exploration along with the outer. No definite plans yet, it's an adventure.

My deepest gratitude to all of you who have followed and supported this work. You've had and will continue to have a positive healing impact on the world.

Twenty years ago, at the beginning of my journey with Reiki practice, I attended a conference on aging, with the theme of hidden trauma resurfacing in later life. The keynote speaker emphasized that, with all his clinical expertise and years of experience, the most important aspect of his work was being fully present.

Reiki offers that opportunity, for its practitioners to be both healing themselves, and humble.
