Leaving a size 13 EE footprint in 1/4 inch of fresh hail took about 2 minutes, which was good way to perk up another lazy pandemic Sunday afternoon.

The forecast calls for a lot of rain this week, which makes for perfect opportunities to get out and shoot waterfalls. The camera was mounted on a tripod and wore a shower cap to avoid the wind-driven spray at Elowah Falls in the Columbia River Gorge.

With just the right upward tilt of the tripod head, the wide angle lens distorted the sides of this scene and “bends” the wall of icicles above. This method wouldn’t be ideal for architecture, but it works well here. At least I think so!
