Wishing everyone a graceful wrap up of 2024.

2024 has been a lot and it is nice to be able to put this year away.

We will be dancing it out at The Den for NYE. If you need to work it out on the dancefloor as well, please come join us.

I am really excited to close out the party with my dear homie, Karim. It was fun to pull a bunch of great music that I hope I get a chance to play a lot of for you. We will see what the universe and the dance floor inspires me to select.

Wishing you all a wonderful conclusion of this solar cycle and an auspicious entry into the next one.

I am pretty excited about being able to finally catch a set from Carl Craig this Friday. I have an especial appreciation for those artist/performers that came up from the roots of dance culture that continue to be both relevant and innovating within the culture. Certainly he has accomplished both.

He’s been on my bucket list of remarkable DJ’s to catch live. And I am grateful to hear him at The Den for a 3 Hr set, giving him some musical spaciousness to take us on a journey!

Has anyone already had the opportunity to catch his set before?

We have been getting better and better bookings coming at us at the Den. Personally as a lover of house music, I am especially thrilled that a lot of it is in my favorite genre! If you haven’t already heard, I am excited to announce we will be hosting:

Last time I got to see Derrick play was in the early 90’s. He was Djing at a warehouse party on 3 turntables seamlessly moving between 3 tracks through his entire set. I was right up front and just mesmerized by his skills. The only other person, who I had seen have such mastery of 3 turntables at that time was Mark Farina. Both Chicago legends.

This should be a special night. Come through and join us.

I am excited to start a new project for NYE Weekend, TOGETHER.

Before I was ever formally producing events, I would throw house parties and gatherings. I have always had friends from a wide range of communities and when I would throw these house parties back in the 80’s, what always struck me was how well people connected in spite of being from different social circles.

I realized that my friendships with people in different communities had a common cord, they were open and sweet people and because of that, new unique alignments and friendships were born.

TOGETHER, invites a variety of promoters that I have connected with along my musical journey and who I have a lot of respect for and I personally like, to come create a unique experience. I have paired people that may not normally work together that I think would create a unique experience that they would not be able to create without the this combination and synergy.
