We are delighted to share a new "Teaching Media Dossier" for the Journal of Cinema and Media Studies on the topic of "Environmental Documentary Theory and Practice." This dossier was convened and edited by School of Film Assistant Professor Ben Mendelsohn and includes a preamble by Dr. Mendelsohn and an essay by School of Film Associate Professor Courtney Hermann.

You can find the publication here https://quod.lib.umich.edu/j/jcms/teachingmedia/

Across nine original essays, this dossier explores how and why we teach ecologically-themed documentary studies and practices in a variety of undergraduate classrooms.

The Journal of Cinema and Media Studies (JCMS) is the peer-reviewed, scholarly publication of the Society for Cinema and Media Studies (SCMS) that is dedicated to sharing ideas and resources for pedagogical practices.
