I hunger for a life of slowness and ease for myself and those around me 💫

But I’ve noticed in the last year and a half since I’ve opened Chrysalis (what is time?) that the more I do, the more I push that life I desire away.

I noticed that when I slowed down, and prioritized balance in and out of the treatment room, that I was able to create the space to pour into my own cup to show up in the best way for my patients and community.

I’m still having to remind myself of this, learning to give the grind a rest to pick up my journal or one of my many tarot decks.

Enter introduced me to Golden Hour & I was beyond excited to support a local, BIPOC coffeeshop. I was a barista in college (shout out Sweet Eugene’s) and it is important for me to support someone’s dream vs. harmful corporations.

I’m Stephanie (you can call me Steph), the hands and the heart behind Chrysalis Aesthetics. I am a Nicaraguan board-certified nurse practitioner with 13 years of nursing to my name. My husband Jesse & our dogs, Jack & Ava, & I moved to Portland 4 years ago for a change of scenery, not knowing that Portland would become a portal into an incredible chapter of our lives.

I love to travel, explore local coffee shops (always local, never Starbucks), and all things witchy woo woo. I’m a tarot reader, reiki practitioner and aspiring astrologer who will ask you your big three if you sit in my chair.

My appointments are longer than most so we can truly connect and explore how we together can affirm your inner and outer beauty.

As a neurodivergent q***r Latina from Texas, I had a hard time finding a space where I (and patients like me) fit in the aesthetic industry - so I decided to make my own! I’m a late diagnosis ADHDer with some invisible illnesses who’s learned to lean into being a different kind of injector.

I built Chrysalis with the mission of creating a space to empower all people to define what beauty means to them, & I am so grateful to be able to offer inclusive, intentional healing through injectables and skin treatments to Portland and beyond.
