Masonique’s last show with our brilliant friend Keith Martinez aka Zenitram Jr. on bass (his final performance on this perplexing rock) recorded live at The Six Below Midnight, Nov 7th, 2026.

We had so much planned for this year, including a new record and short tour, but we’ll always be grateful for the time we spent with Keith. This was one of our strongest sets ever and we’re proud to share our final moments on stage with him. Keith was the best 💜

Heartbroken is the simplest word I can express about the sudden passing of our dear friend and bandmate, Keith Martinez. He was recently hospitalized with cardiovascular issues and although he seemed to be on the mend he unexpectedly departed this world early Friday morning.

As bandmates in Masonique we spent a lot of time together playing music and occasionally hitting the road. Keith was great company in every situation. Smart, talented and resourceful he was also incredibly kind and very funny, two traits which helped keep the darkness of this year at bay.

Playing music at this age (that age being old) sometimes gets a little lonesome as people pack it up, scenes thin out and venues fade away, however Keith was a lifer, ready to write, record and perform without hesitation. He clearly saw the absurdity of this existence but didn’t succumb to apathy or nihilism. He answered the nonsense by creating incredibly entertaining and emotionally profound art. He was an outstanding musician and visual artist, two talents he often paired with his epic video synced solo performances, which I’m very grateful to have witnessed.

We were just wrapping up the tracking for our next record and had many plans for the future, including hitting the road again. Although that particular agenda is no longer in the cards we’re forever grateful for the time we spent with him.

Keith was a cosmic traveler at heart. May the rest of the universe be lucky enough to meet him on his voyage throughout the cosmos. Much love from Ron of Masonique
