Dec. 31 is the sixth day of the Kwanzaa celebration. The principle for the day is Kuumba, which means creativity

This image represents so many of the Kwanza principles. It’s special to me, as creativity is my offering to support these women as they cultivate healing within their community.

Morn’n to you! Social media can be hard for me. I get hung up on an internal obstacle to connect with a faceless internet. Memory making is definitely a love language for me, so I also tend to covet the moments I share with my subjects- Not wanting to share them with just anyone.
I generally over think, over feel and over analyze; never wanting to share something just to feed an algorithm.
This year, I’m setting intentions to get out of my head. Living there, puts the focus of me and not my subject. One post can also be a like a match lighting another. It can elevate voices, connect communities and start conversations. I want that. I want authentic. So, if you’re still reading, join in. Be kind. I want to connect with people over algorithms! ❤️

Seniors of 2020( which includes my own child).... I'm so freaking sorry!!! But, you are making history...so theres that....
Graduation / seniors are among my favorite session type. It's an exciting, pivotal moment in the life of a young adult, of a family..of a generation! My heart goes out to you. You are no doubt a fierce group and this time does not define you! Go get'em.
And I'm going to stop talking now...just wanted you to know "I see you."
