There was a lot of Telling Room love in the room Thursday night at Book Space in Bangor! Telling Room Communications & Editorial Director Rylan Hynes was in conversation with Telling Room author and alum Mo Drammeh (WHERE THE CRYPTIDS FLED) as Rylan hit the road for the book tour of their debut novel, GRAFTING. Many thanks to the team at The Briar Patch for stocking Telling Room books and for hosting this very fun crossover event filled with great conversation about setting, character, and what one hopes readers will take away from a story.

Be sure to stop by the Briar Patch or check out their online shop at: https://briarpatchbooks.square.site/ to get Telling Room books (and titles by local authors) all year long!

“We’ve always believed our students do their best work when they feel they belong; somewhere bright, cozy and welcoming to share their writing, where they feel seen and heard,” said Telling Room Executive Director Kristina Powell.

“That’s what we found at 55 Washington Ave.” Powell said, “and we can’t wait to watch our students grow into it.”
