Deaf New Americans Open House!
Description:
This event is to help us familiarize ourselves with the Deaf New American experience and how we can become more inclusive in welcoming them into our community as service providers, interpreters, neighbors, Deafies, and friends. Every experience is different and we have a lot to learn from each other- this is our way to warmly welcome all people to come together and celebrate the expansion of our Deaf community. There will be short presentations about the journey, a Q/A panel session, and a potluck social. Everyone is welcome to share a favorite drink or dish! Interpretation will be provided.
