We had a great time last night at the Guild of Oregon Woodworkers Carving SIG. The focus for March, April and May is carving utensils. We provided over 30 spoon blanks for people to carve.

I brought all my spoons with me to provide some sort of inspiration and direction. Some of these are in our kitchen arsenal, a couple are the very first two spoons I carved, and most are waiting for me to finish them.

I use Rise Up and Carve templates for a few spoons. Thank you to the talented carvers there that provide free templates!

All the birch, black walnut, and curly big leaf maple is from - basically most of these spoons!
