Today along with many in our country we're taking a moment to reflect and remember those that gave their lives in service. We also remember the families and communities that stood and stand behind them and continue a legacy of courage. Here's to creating a tomorrow that we are proud to remember together.

Today, May 5, is the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Relatives, part of a national movement to bring light to the heightened level of violence Native women face, up to 10x the national murder rate on some reservations. Law enforcement and justice are often lacking or absent for these victims and survivors.

As a Native woman-owned business, we're particularly intent on helping amplify this movement. Awareness is the first step to bringing a consciousness and culpability to our legal systems, so we can make it work for those with the least power, not against them.
