I was contacted over the weekend about a last-minute session for a very special senior pup named Autzen, whose health has recently taken a turn. His loving dad adopted him as an 8-month-old puppy just after graduating college, and for the past 14 years they’ve shared a life side by side, growing through every chapter together.

He wanted to capture a few meaningful memories of them together, but time—and the weather—seemed to be working against us. The forecast was calling for heavy rain all week, so I did everything I could to make the session happen before the storms rolled in. Thankfully, we were given a small window of dry weather and were able to sneak the shoot in.

Because Autzen’s mobility is pretty limited these days, we kept things very simple and focused on quiet, heartfelt portraits of him and his dad together.

I can relate to that kind of bond, having shared it myself with so many beloved furry companions over the years. It’s a connection that stays with you forever. I truly wanted to honor their love and the life they’ve shared together as thoughtfully and sincerely as I could. I’m so grateful we were able to make this session happen for them. ❤️

Wow! I’ve definitely been a bit absent on Instagram lately—for both good and not-so-good reasons.

Between a large commercial shoot down that completely took over my schedule last month and diving into tax season, there hasn’t been much time for anything else.

That said, I did make time to photograph the sweetest little pup named Guinness. Getting to capture his very first experience in the snow was pure magic. Even though our mountain snowpack is historically low this year, we were lucky enough to head up right after a solid storm that dropped about a foot of fresh powder.

Being part Bernese, Guinness looked completely in his element—like he was born for snowy mountain adventures. ❄️🐾❤️

Reese understood the assignment: run fast, smile big, ears everywhere! ❤️

I just wrapped up a large order for Reese from a shoot we did last year. One thing I strongly believe in is never pressuring my private clients to order—there are no deadlines. Having grown up in sales and experienced that pressure myself, I’m intentional about creating a completely stress-free experience. I always treat my clients the way I would want to be treated.

Next, I’m working on another big album order and preparing for some snow shoots in the mountains. ❄️❤️
