An area once occupied by a large homeless camp, is now the first Safe Stay Community in Vancouver. Many people living in the camp previously will move into the 20 modular shelters starting Thursday. Story tonight on KOIN 6 News.

The COVID-19 relief bill was signed after the PUA and PEUC benefit programs expired. Many worried this would cause a gap in benefits. However, the Oregon Employment Department told me they got confirmation from the U.S. Department of Labor that there will NOT be a missed week of PUA, PEUC, or FPUC benefits as a result of the delay in the President's signing of the legislation.
