40,000 Pounds of Aroostook Potatoes Went South A food bank in Connecticut has made room for 40,000 pounds of Aroostook County potatoes. After years of receiving help from the Midwest Food Bank, a local business, organization, and trucking company worked together to return the favor.

Just wanted to contact you to say thank you once again for your assistance with the generous donation of potatoes! They arrived this morning and were moved around very professionally by the driver - great equipment professionally used. We sincerely appreciate the efforts that you made in order to facilitate this donation and want to assure you that the clients of our food bank and several other local pantries will definitely reap the benefits of those efforts. We will be using the potatoes in our home deliveries ( going out tomorrow) and our Christmas Dinner Baskets ( going out next week).
