Introducing Weddings at MWL!

MWL is a place to gather and celebrate. Animated by the thrum of conversation, the
clink of swirling ice, and the rumble of ladders across the wood floors, the Library is as much a feeling as a place. Because a great experience isn’t made from just one element; it’s shared with loved ones, in a beautiful space, and overseen by inspired people.

At MWL we provide bespoke event planning with ease. Every detail—from our custom cocktails to our chef driven menus—is designed to create an experience as unique as the couples we serve. Learn more about private dining and wedding celebrations at the link in our bio.

MAY FEATURED POURS

MEMBER POUR: TRES GENERACIONES LA COLONIAL REPOSADO

This limited tequila released by Tres Generaciones is part of a series honoring different generations of the Sauza family (Sauza is the owner of Tres Generaciones). Though there is a family story motivating this release, the story we find much more compelling is that this tequila wasn’t made at the La Perseverancia distillery where Sauza products are typically produced. This is because this tequila is partially made with a tahona, a giant rock wheel used to crush roasted agave, and Sauza doesn’t have one. But luckily for them, the nice folks at Cascahuin do, and the not-so-secret secret behind this bottle is that it was actually made at Cascahuin. Cascahuin happens to be one of the most highly regarded tequila distilleries, and a staff favorite at the Library.

BREAK EVEN: THE MACALLAN 007 DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER 55TH ANNIVERSARY RELEASE

The new Macallan release celebrates the connection between the brand and James Bond, and while the information about the juice in the bottle is sparse, we know it’s at least 18 years old and bottled at 45.5% abv. Every special edition Macallan we’ve tried lately has been fantastic and we have no doubt this will follow that trend. An extremely limited release… less than ten bottles total came to the state of Oregon.

SIDE QUEST

toki black whisky, hardy vsop cognac, r. jelinek blue plum liqueur, lillet blanc, combier cassis, ginger, lemon

New spirits in our collection means new possibilities. Enter the Side Quest.

When R. Jelínek Blue Plum Liqueur came to the Library, our bartender Dakota knew he wanted to build a bright, juicy, and plum-centric cocktail around it. He chose Toki Black (another recent addition to the wall) as the base, and the light Japanese whisky ended up working perfectly. Whispers of smoke, ginger, and spice give a nod to the modern classic Penicillin cocktail.

Stop by and give it a try!

APRIL FEATURED POURS

BREAK EVEN BOTTLE: WOODFORD BACCARAT

Finished in XO Cognac casks, Woodford Baccarat is incredibly complex, sweet, and seasoned with the fruitiness of well aged cognac. It’s the pinnacle of Woodford’s releases and we were lucky enough to get our hands on a few bottles to offer as a break even pour this month. Members who enjoy a pour will also be offered the chance to enter a drawing to win the beautiful Baccarat crystal decanter the whiskey comes in when it’s emptied at the end of the month.

MEMBER POUR: GLENLIVIT 15YR

One of the most rewarding aspects of the Whiskey Library is the eagerness of our members and guests to try new things and experience whiskies or other spirits they’ve never had before. We have the honor of pulling bottles from pretty deep in our collection quite regularly, and it’s a true joy to do so. The downside of this eagerness to explore is that sometimes the most well known bottles can get skipped over for no other reason than being too well known. If that describes your experience during your last few visits, we’re happy to offer you a chance to revisit a classic this month with the Glenlivet 15. A portion of the vatting is finished in French Limosin oak casks adding a darker baking spice note to Glenlivet's famous tropical, fruity character. We hope that this taste inspires you to revisit some of the better known sections in our collection.
