Myth and Milagro

Occasionally I have to paint my namesake ❤️ Did you know milagro means miracle in Spanish? It’s also what they call sacred hearts/flaming hearts! I love love love the imagery of them and as a trinket collector and a half-Mexican artist, it just makes sense for me 🥰 And this little ceramic trinket tray is still available for you to put your fave trinkets on or write a little wish and keep it on here. After all, milagros are meant to bring good luck, good fortune and good health to those who have them ❤️

I can’t recall the last thing I made for my husband and I had a blank mug sitting around for another purpose that didn’t work out. I also noticed my husband was using his mug more often (he only has the one) so I wanted to make him something special! He has a handful of things he loves: goats, aliens, Bigfoot and of course, geese and gnomes. I was flipping through a book on gnomes a while back and found an illustration of a gnome riding a bird. The original picture is vastly different but loved the concept so much that I decided to do my own of one riding a goose! I had SO MUCH FUN creating this. I was so giddy the whole way through, I’m so proud of it!! Eventually I’ll be making stickers of this, so keep an eye out in the new year!
