You'll be missed, but it's time to say goodbye! 🥲
Don't mind me. Just wandering around the backyard with my coffee and coming across the biggest landscape morels I've ever seen in my life...

For those of you who don't know, I suffer from some pretty intense nerve and inflammation issues in both hands that have gotten a lot worse in the past year. Some days I can't even hold a cup of coffee much less control a paintbrush so this is the first time I've painted in about 6 months. Prints I released recently were of paintings done long time ago because I haven't painted in so long.
I painted through painful spasms and numbness today. Looking at this Orchid inspired by the show at which I spent my birthday weekend, I can see where my brush control isn't what it should be, where I overworked areas trying to fix some mistake, where the bristles landed in the wrong spot over and over. As you rush to the comments to reassure me it's beautiful, let me be the first to say it. I'm really proud of this imperfect little painting even if it's nothing like what we've come to expect of my skill.
In a couple weeks I'm scheduled for the first of three procedures to hopefully repair some of that function. The first one is the most minor, and least invasive. Its supposed to have the quickest recovery too. I'm hoping it gives me a glimpse of what getting back a bit of direction in life might feel like.
I'd cross my fingers, but... I think you get it.

Art went up a couple days early at yesterday evening and I'm so excited to have such a bright and cheery space for my artwork through April and May! Come get a Pistachio Rose Latte before the special changes because they're delicious!
