✨🤍Sharing MY ART!🤍✨
I posted my art every day for a month, and let me tell you what happened! ✨
I decided to do a little art practice in painting oysters, leading up to the Maine Oyster Festival 🦪
I painted 12 oysters a day for 25 days leading up to the festival - that’s a total of 300 oysters! 🌊
I decided to share the whole process online - and I am soooo glad I did! 🙌🏼
Something happened that I wasn’t expecting! ✨
It started to grow a community that supported my art - not only online - but locally! 🥰
I will be showing my art at The Harpswell Collective! 🖼️
✨Starting July 18th!✨
And I will also have a print vending machine that will live at The Harpswell Collective, filled with my art! 🎨
And to anyone who needs to hear this - Share your art with the world! 🌎
The world needs art right now. It always needs art, but right now, if you have some - share it! 🫶🏼
Follow along to see the rest of this art journey I’m on! 🤍
And … I already have another “I have an idea, is this crazy?” set in my mind for the month of August! 😀
🌊🫐Making Art in Maine🫐🌊
This past month has been a whirlwind! 🤍
It started with a fun art practice of painting 300 oysters for the Maine Oyster Festival
…and because I shared with the world, some amazing doors opened up for me! 🫶🏼🦪
Now this little project I did for fun has led to so much more! 😀
I will be showing my art in a local Maine gallery! 🖼️
The Harpswell Collective
Starting July 18th
With a cocktail reception starting at 6:30!
The Harpswell Collective
Not only will I have some of my art on the walls, but Liz, the creative mind behind The Harpswell Collective, has generously given me a vending machine that will dispense MY ARTWORK! 🎨
Honestly, a dream come true - from a homemade cardboard vending machine (which I still will have at markets)
to now having a permanent, real-deal art print vending machine that will live at this beautiful Maine Art Gallery is UNREAL! 🥰
This new space is breathtaking, and the pictures don’t do it justice, so make sure to check out The Harpswell Collective if you are visiting Maine this summer! 🐟
It is open to the public and has the gallery, a retail space filled with Maine-made art/goods, and an outdoor space filled with adirondack chairs and views of the ocean - it doesn’t get any more Maine Community than that! ⛵️
Hope to see you there at the Grand Opening on July 18th! ✨🤍

*content* mention su***de - talking about mental health awareness
Fundraising for 💛The Yellow Tulip Project!💛
I love everything that is non-profit stands for and excited to raise awareness/funds for them this month!
They have created a community to ‘Smash the Stigma’ around talking about mental health
The statistics around su***de are heartbreaking and to change that we need to all start talking about it - personally there are too many people that I know that have lost their battle to mental illness
From the yellow tulips they plant in Hope Gardens to the community programing and support they provide - there are so many reasons why I love this non-profit
Let’s shine some light on The Yellow Tulip Project in their 10th year of making a difference!
Put an order in by August 1st to get your own Yellow Tulip Bulbs and plant your own community Hope Garden! You can purchase them through theyellowtulipproject.org
Or sign up for this months heART Print Club - where all proceeds will go directly to The Yellow Tulip Project! And you get art in the mail from me!
You can sign up for the snail mail print club at the link in my bio or go directly to my website at www.newmeadowdesigns.com
Not going to lie I got emotional filming this - please take care of yourself and know it gets better and there is always support

🦪✨300 Oysters - Update!✨🦪
Follow along as I paint 300 oysters for the Maine Oyster Festival 🌊
That’s 12 oysters a day until June 27th!
Right now I am over halfway to my goal 🤩
I can’t believe that it has gone by so quickly and that the festival is right around the corner 😀
Wanted to do a little re-cap of all I’ve painted so far! And talk a little about my love of art and my process 🎨
I’m looking forward to meeting everyone that comes to my art booth the weekend of the festival 🥰
I’m also very excited to eat as many oysters as possible!
I’ll be sneaking my way over to oyster farmers booths the entire weekend ☺️
Still have art to make - tote bags to paint - and shirts to sew! 😅
Follow along/wish me luck - and see if I can get it all done in time!🙂🙃

✨will be raising funds for✨
🌊The Gulf of Maine Research Institute 🌊
They work on many great initiatives to help preserve and understand the Gulf of Maine, ensuring it thrives and remains vibrant for generations to come. From Climate Change, Ecosystem Health, and Seafood Sustainability, they are working across many areas to protect the Gulf of Maine.
When you ask someone what they know about Maine, one of the first things they will say is Lobster or amazing seafood
And, obviously, as someone who is obsessed with seafood and endlessly inspired by all the ocean contains, I wanted to find a non-profit working to protect our oceans. I wanted to find a non-profit that has amazing programs that support the community and understands the lives of so many who work and live on the ocean here in Maine.
One program my oyster-loving heart was really intrigued by is their Maine Aquaculture Apprenticeship Program. It’s the first of its kind and provides hands-on experience for those interested in a career in aquaculture (I’m not going to say no to supporting more oyster farmers)
If you love the ocean and all it has to offer, help me support the Gulf of Maine Research Institute by signing up for this month’s heART Print Club!
