Strategy > hope.
When I create a marketing plan, I start by reviewing analytics everywhere (social media, email marketing, SEO, website traffic) and having a deep discussion about goals & priorities.
Then I go through each marketing channel and build a plan with those goals and metrics in mind - so my clients know where to focus, what they can ignore, and why it matters.
Big wins, small wins, surviving…what are you celebrating?
Here’s the why (because it is all connected):
1. Their own website - their own words, branding, and info that no one can take away and no social media algorithm to fight with.
2. Email marketing to stay connected with people interested in their offer. Sending something via email means your audience will actually see it.
3. Networking or collabs to build referrals (especially with complimentary businesses). Building community with people who offer similar services/products is good for business and good for remembering you’re not alone.
4. SEO (search engine optimization) to get found by new people. Super important for local businesses. Huge topic, but it matters and MOST businesses don’t bother (or know how).
5. Clear messaging and connected marketing to remove extra steps (and wasted time).
