The Creative Realm

I know how overwhelming it can feel for middle school girls to meet new people, wondering if they’ll fit in or feeling self-conscious about trying something new. That’s why this camp is designed to ease her into connection in a way that feels natural and safe. Through games, creative projects, and meaningful conversations, I’ve seen girls let go of those fears, relax, and start to feel at home with themselves and the people around them.

I had such a fun time hosting my camp called The Creative Realm for middle schoolers. We laughed a ton! We did crafts, played improv games, used essential oils, meditations, and used different cards for sharing about our life. In one of the pictures below, I had them choose road cards to depict their life from their earliest memories to present day. I love using props to facilitate discussions!

It is very common that parents and kids want to sign up for camp with a friend. This initially gets the kid over the hump of fear about GOING to camp. HOWEVER, when a kid comes without knowing anyone, they have the space and privacy to talk about issues they may not talk about in front of their friends (for example friendship issues!). I structure the camp to help nurture connections. I believe it's a good thing for your daughter to come on her own!

Switching from parenting to the consultant role and 'letting go' as our kids get older is a difficult transition with little support. I am offering a class starting 4/16/24 especially for moms of older kids (age 16 into adulthood). Just because our kids are older, doesn't mean we don't worry about them! This class focuses on you, as you step into new roles from parenting. Games, journaling and exercises will help you relieve stress and experience joy as we navigate these tricky times.
