Worker power in action! 🗳️💛

We are so proud to introduce our new Day Laborer Committee (DLC). These worker leaders were elected today by their peers to help guide Voz’s programming, lead our monthly assemblies, and shape the future of our community.

Through advocacy and organizing, and with the support of our Leadership School, they are ready to continue building collective power! ✊🏽

Voz continues to fight for the dignity and safety of every worker, including farm workers, day laborers, migrant workers, and domestic workers. True liberation means a movement where everyone is safe to speak up, and no one is too powerful to be held accountable. 🤍 We stand with all survivors in truth and healing.

Today, we join communities across the country to say it clearly: ABOLISH ICE.

Our Worker Center is open today for our members and the immigrant day laborers who make Voz what it is. While others shut down, we are holding space, staying connected, and making sure our community has what it needs.

But we support everyone today who isn’t working, who isn’t shopping, who isn’t going to school.

After today, la lucha sigue. We keep putting pressure on government and corporations. We keep supporting migrant workers and local businesses. We keep showing up until ICE is out of our communities.

SOLO EL PUEBLO SALVA AL PUEBLO. ✊🏽
