First of all, the owners and staff of Gramma's Corner Kitchen would like to thank ALL of our guests... regulars, new customers... EVERYONE who has continued to support our family owned business during these unprecedented times for the restaurant industry.

Since Covid-19, we have struggled to remain open. Thankfully, we have, but it really is at the expense of our owners and employees. It breaks my heart knowing all the local restaurants who weren't able to sustain. And I'm grateful that, because we ARE family owned, everyone is dedicated to stepping up and putting in long, hard hours to make it work.

But we are in DESPERATE NEED of a full time cook, and have been for 2 years now. In July, we had to close more days than we were open because we don't have enough staff. We have owners struggling to manage our business because they are on the line cooking. I have tried every avenue I can think of.... Indeed, Zip Recruiter, Craig's List, the unemployment office, Facebook, etc. This photo is of an ad created in May. As you can see... no applicants.

I have reached out to news outlets and have been featured several times, as many restaurants have done. We're all in the same boat, and it's hard not to feel like it's slowly sinking. We NEED HELP if we're going to save our business. Our employees and managers and owners a literally burnt out from lack of qualified staff.

We pay well, our cooks receive 10% tips, and we're offering a sign of bonus after 60 days for QUALIFIED Kitchen staff.

We are looking for an experienced Breakfast Line Cook for our busy Family Restaurant in Milwaukie, OR. MUST have BREAKFAST LINE COOK EXPERIENCE and the ability to cook independently after training. You will be expected to follow our recipes and operational procedures. This is a family-oriented business and we are looking for someone wanting long term employment who will fit with our family and staff. Full time set schedule.
