🚨BREAKING: Gavin Newsom launched a $23 million state program to provide hearing aids for kids.
Five years later, only 300 hearing aids have been distributed.

That works out to $76,666 per hearing aid.
The same devices retail for about $1,400.

Instead of requiring private insurers to cover pediatric hearing aids, Newsom pushed lawmakers toward a state-run program.

At $1,400 retail for 300 hearing aids, the actual cost would be $420,000.
The state spent $23 million.

When looking into where the money went, the official explanation was “administrative and overhead costs,” not hearing aids.
