Kicked off our return to Honolulu with dinner at Senia, and it set the bar high.
This Chinatown spot strikes a balance: polished but relaxed, with 80s throwbacks playing while thoughtful food comes out of the kitchen.
Highlights:
⢠Smoked ahi ci**rs (a must-order signature)
⢠Corn fritters with parmesan, limu, and chiliāsimple, done really well
⢠Hamachi tataki that lets the fish speak for itself
⢠Bone marrow with oxtail marmalade and Hawaiian sweet rolls if youāre feeling indulgent
We skipped alcohol and went with their NA drinksāboth the Plantation Iced Tea and The Garden with Seedlip Drinks were refreshing.
Finished with a layered chocolate mousse with chocolate buttercake, macadamia dentelle, and milk sorbet.
If youāre planning where to eat on Oahu, this is a strong place to start.
