2018 Health Insurance Open Enrollment begins soon This year’s Open Enrollment is November 1 through December 15th, 2017. This is a 6-week enrollment, as opposed to the 12-week enrollments we’ve had in the past.

CMS just extended the deadline to apply for January 1st coverage through Healthcare.gov. You can use this site even if you don't expect a subsidy. So if you missed the deadline today, you can still apply by the end of the day on December 19th and still have coverage starting January 1st.

If you're having a problem logging in to Healthcare.gov to beat the deadline today, but you're having problems, you're not alone. Call them at 800-318-2596. You'll likely get a message asking to put in your number and they'll call you back. That will get you in the queue before the deadline - even if they call you back after the deadline.
