Second, I love the musical connectivity and respect this 45 shows to two musical greats. It’s a wonderful tribute to the power of the worldwide good-music and dj community that a vinyl remix of a Soul masterpiece became a classic in its own right. And now that that remix has been lovingly recreated and covered it feels like a beautiful 360. May their memories and musical legacies continue to inspire ✌🏼👊🏼🎶

The Camps Breakerz Crew was founded in the Gaza Strip in 2004 by brothers Moh Ghraiz and Ahmed Alghariz, who formed the community dance team to represent the Palestinian people and draw attention to their struggle. CB Crew shares the unique beauty of breakdancing, hip hop, and art with the people of Gaza through teaching and performances. They established the first dance school in Nuseirat Refugee Camp in 2012 providing children with professional instruction in dance, graffiti, and music.

Join the Green Olive Collective with emergency, trauma pedagogy, and dance therapist Ahmed Alghariz to discuss the way they use dance as a form of somatic release to help children restore their sense of belonging and wellbeing in the face of ongoing siege, massacre, and displacement in Gaza.
