Breathwork is powerful because it brings us back to the body, back to presence, and back to each other.
The breath is the one thing every human on Earth shares and it connects to every living being on this planet.

Your breath influences every system in your body more than most people realize.
Your energy.
Your sleep.
Your focus.
Your digestion.
Your nervous system.
Even the way your brain and heart function.
And yet most people are walking around breathing through their mouth all day, disconnected from the very thing fueling every cell in their body.
One of the first things I teach in my classes is this:
Breathe through your nose 99% of the time... outside of class 😉
The breath is one of the most foundational regulators of human function. The way you breathe affects oxygen delivery, stress response, heart rate, sleep quality, mental clarity, and overall resilience.
🩵 And honestly, I’ve seen this one small shift completely change people’s lives over night!

It was not an overnight shift.
If I remember correctly, it took around a year of consistent changes before my system fully stabilized.
I didn’t grow up with asthma, and I never had issues with my breathing before this period.
The symptoms showed up after a highly emotionally time in my life... either the grief of losing my dog, or following a very large tattoo session that seemed to overwhelm my system.
What I’ve learned since is simple: the body doesn’t create patterns without reason.
It speaks through sensation, restriction, inflammation, and breath. And when it speaks, the most powerful thing we can do is listen.
None of this was a single fix. It was a slow process of removing stressors, regulating my nervous system, and creating more internal and external safety for my body to recalibrate.
