Today is a day of reflection and gratitude.

Death came to me like a thief in the night 16 years ago in the form of a cardiac arrest. It stole 16 minutes of my life’s breath and because I wasn’t “ready” life was to begin anew. Surviving in an induced coma for a day and a half, the question as to whether I would be brain dead was the elephant in the room.

Thankful for my son’s wisdom to call 911 and perform CPR, to all of the prayers and support from family and friends, to the amazing medical staff that put up with my shenanigans, to the universe for its guidance in my life thereafter. I am forever grateful. Amen.

"Courage" is now completed. It had a few areas I needed to dial in to my satisfaction.
