French House Producer /DJ Tommy Marcus and American Producer/DJ Matt Consola teamed up in 2023 as the production team DADDIES HOME! Their sound is a combination of Tech House, French Nu-Disco, and Bathhouse Sleaze.
After a handful of solo singles including “All This Time,” “The Disco Mayhem” and “The Funky Bangalore”, they began remixing for artists including Dirty Disco, Inaya Day, Cactushead, Amuka & M is For Motion, Giuseppe D., François Sagat, and others. Their early 2024 remix of Barry Huffine & Jose Spinnin Cortes ft Zhana Roiya – “Looking For a New Love” helped the track go Top 10 in the UK on the Contemporary Pop Dance Chart as did their remix for the Matt Consola & Veneta - Heart & Soul single which peaked at #9.
Now in 2026, with 8 singles under their belt, they release DADDIES HOME! THE ALBUM (Part 1). More than a compilation of their past releases, THE ALBUM (Part 1) also features 5 new songs and three Redux Remixes of past dance floor hits “Born This Way,” “One More Time” and their cheeky Anna Nicole Smith sampled single "Anna (Make Me Beautiful Duets)" renamed “Anna Does Paris,” as they take a French Disco House approach to the remix.
The first double single off the album, “JE T’AIME" and "ANNA DOES PARIS [REDUX]” will drop Tuesday, June 2nd 2026 in time for Pride Month. DADDIES HOME! THE ALBUM (Part 2) will drop in late 2026 featuring all club remixes of their entire catalog.

We at Swishcraft Music could not be more excited for Artist, Radio host and Q***r Icon KAREL for scoring his first Top 10 hit ‘I Dance Because” that he has both written and sung. [The full package can be found here: https://bit.ly/Karel_IDB]
For those who don’t know, Karel got his start as a singer and label owner in the early 90s where his first album was named #10 album of the year by Billboard’s Larry Flick. Soon after, Karel was signed by Jellybean to cover Sylvester’s “Don't Stop” with The Factory team in Italy. Just as it peaked on 12 charts world wide, Karel went into Talk Radio eventually becoming an American syndicated talk radio host.
Fast forward to 2024, Karel co-wrote a UK Top 5 hit "We're Not Going Back” for the iconic Thea Austin which was also used in the President Campaign for Kamala Harris. But at 62 years old, and running his radio show The Karel Cast from Las Vegas, this is Karel’s first solo #10 hit that he has both written and performed. And it could not be a more important and personal track.
Written to celebrate the joy of once again being able to dance with those we have lost to AIDS and other unexpected passings, "I Dance Because" is Karel's way of paying homage to those he once danced with and now continues to dance because of their memories.
"It's a song rooted in the past, with a video very much about what's happening in the present in terms of technology...and I almost didn’t do it, the video...” Karel said. “When I wrote the song I wrote it for those that have passed, those I danced with in the 1980s, '90s, 2000s who are no longer here. And I always thought it would be cool to have footage of us dancing from back in the day, but we didn’t have camera phones everywhere then."
Karel used new technologies to recreate the historic nightlife scenes.
"When I saw it, I cried, and it took my breath away," said Karel. "And I think it's a good use of AI, we aren’t creating something that never was, we really did dance together in the clubs, we’re just creating footage of a real event that we didn’t have. And that's an advantage of these new technologies. I'm not bringing people that passed into the present to do new things. We're doing things we really did in the past. Eli Lev in Greece created the video and I filmed the studio shots in Las Vegas and suddenly, I’m dancing with old friends. And of course, I cried again.”

Congratulation’s to Iconic LGBTQAI Singer, Activist, and Radio Personality Karel, for entering the Top 20 of the UK Dance Charts with his latest single “I Dance Because” out now on Swishcraft Music.
With remixes by Dirty Disco (Mark De Lange), Rafael Mesa, Matt Moss, Robbie Carrigan, and producer and remixer Leo Frappier and the House of Frappier, this is an important LGBTQAI track. As Karel states, “I Dance Because” is dedicated to all the LGBTQ people that have filled the dance floors with me who are no longer here to dance. I dance because we did.”
