The Portland Clean Energy Fund has built a community solar project to reduce emissions and lower energy bills for 150 low-income families, has distributed more than 20k free air conditioners to help vulnerable households prepare for heat waves, has funded energy retrofits for 3,100 homes, and trained 2k people in renewable energy and construction.
How one Oregon city has raised a billion dollars for climate change The Portland Clean Energy Fund has raised a billion dollars for climate change action via a retail tax on large corporations in the city. Other cities are starting to shape similar funds.

Primary Elections shape so much in local and state politics. We know there is plenty of mudslinging and attack ads in races where the stakes are high and the candidates greatly differ. That's why it's important to us to say it loud and clear: is the clear environmental champion running in Oregon's State Senate District 15 (Hillsboro/Washington County). Muñoz supports limiting and regulating data centers, while her opponent tried to pave over 1,700 acres of quality farmland for big tech warehouses.
