Find this dude chained to the fence across the street
No shade
No food no water
Barely length on the chain to sit
Cryptic note on his collar
Cigarette burn above his eye
So many bumps and curves and decisions to make
We finally decide he needs to be ours.
Happiest gotcha day Lucky.

My lavender patch has attracted a lot of bumble bees and honey bees this year. I love that many of the male bumbles feel safe enough to curl up on a flower and sleep all night. The females go back underground to rest.
As the sun warms them up in the morning they start to wake up. It’s almost like you can see them stretching their legs as they wake.
Favorite area of my garden.
Hope you all are enjoying your summer.
