Nearly a year ago Monty was asked by the Chehalem Cultural Center in Newberg to be the Design Chair for their major fundraiser, Night of the Moon on September 7th. Each year NOTM honors a different culture and country, this year it was Japan. Monty's design inspiration was Teahouse of the Autumn Moon. His vision: to create a Japanese Garden and Teahouse in a cavernous old grade school gym.
The transformation was achieved with minimal budget, hundreds of volunteer hours and great resourcefulness.
