Our team is still debriefing on an incredible week installing a system for the Bompaso Community Center.

This 10 kW system is now powering fans, lights and charging stations for 600 community members.

We’re excited to share about a fun project we’ve been working on that beautifully combines two unlikely things: puzzles and renewable energy! 🧩☀️

One of our Board members, Mark Jacobs went looking last holiday season for a jigsaw puzzle that celebrated classic American farm life and featured solar energy. To his surprise, such a puzzle didn’t exist… so he decided to make one and loop in Twende Solar to connect it back to impact.

Mark teamed up with Oregon artist Kathleen Russel, whose work captures the warmth of rural life and the promise of renewable energy. The result is a 500-piece puzzle that reimagines the American countryside with solar panels woven naturally into the landscape: a vision of a future where clean energy is part of our cultural identity.

Even better, a portion of the proceeds support Twende Solar’s mission to bring electricity to communities in need around the world.
