The Black Excellence in Education Residency is coming May 22nd & 23rd, 2026 — and applications are open NOW.

Spend two days learning alongside the Black Excellence in Education cohort (a Portland State University & KairosPDX collaboration) practicing culturally-sustaining instruction and critical reflection in early learning classrooms.

To qualify, you must be:
• Currently employed as an early childhood educator in Oregon

Eligibility Requirements:
🧩 Preschool: Child must be 3 or 4 years old by 9/1/26 and parent/guardian must live in Multnomah County.
📚Kindergarten–5th Grade: Child must be 5 years old or older by 9/1/26 and parent/guardian must live in Oregon.
