Kicking off our Spring Appeal with a recap of our Student Wellness Retreat! Last weekend, 60+ MD, DO & PA students connected with 25+ Mentors on a wide range of topics, like DEI, Advocacy, Stress Management, Healthcare reform, Financial literacy, Choosing a specialty, and much more. We are taking on BURNOUT in healthcare starting with PREVENTION by helping students EARLY. Meet Dr. Tucker - he's been practicing for 75 years and stays young by being engaged in the medical community and mentoring the next generation. In 1947, a medical education cost ~$1,500/year incl room, board, books and fees. Today, many students start their careers saddled with $300,000 in debt, which still doesn't cover everything or keep pace with our record inflation.
