Community Energy Project

Multnomah County, Oregon collaborated with the community over several years to draft the Multnomah County Climate Justice Plan (CJP), which is now heading to the Board of County Commissioners for formal adoption. You're invited to join the meeting next Thursday, July 23rd, at 9:30 AM and offer testimony in support of the plan. The CJP's refined goals and strategies directly reflect the collective wisdom of our community and address goals related to clean energy, extreme weather, housing, and more.

We're still looking for volunteers! Join us July 16-18 to help replace the roof for our clients, Nancy and Glenn. CEP has already provided their home with several energy efficient upgrades, including new insulation and air sealing, upgraded ventilation, and the replacement of outdated heating and water systems with modern, energy-efficient solutions. These upgrades have brought increased comfort and reduced utility costs. However, one major issue remains unresolved—their nearly 30-year-old roof is failing.

Without replacing the roof, Nancy and Glenn’s home—and the improvements already made—are at risk. That’s where you can step in.

Shift Options:
• Morning: 8 AM – 12 PM
• Afternoon: 12:30 PM – 4:30 PM

No prior experience is needed. All tools and training will be provided. To ensure all volunteers feel secure during this opportunity, each shift includes a roof crew and a ground crew.

July 16-18, we're looking for volunteers to help CEP clients, Nancy and Glenn, receive vital roof replacements so they can stay safe, dry, and comfortable in their homes.

No roofing experience? No problem! We provide all tools, training, and support. Each shift includes both roof and ground crew roles, so there's a place for everyone.
