We know here in Portland, Oregon we usually celebrate PRIDE in July but June is in fact the official kick off! In 2023, Portland moved its official Pride Festival and Parade to July to avoid continued overlap with Juneteenth celebrations ensuring that our community has the opportunity to participate in both.
Pride Month is a time to celebrate the resilience, leadership, and voices of LGBTQIA+ communities while also recognizing the challenges many still face, including domestic and intimate partner violence.
