Local Lounge (Official)

There was a page on the point of sale system at the Local Lounge before I purchased it called the "Party Page."

It was not instituted by the previous owner, though he did carry it on. I did not know about it until I was well into the time I was going to purchase the bar, and had no intention of carrying it forward. It did not exist during my time at the bar.

As reported to me, the page had all of the drinks that were normally carried at the bar, with an upcharge of about $1.00 to $1.50 apiece. These were used on nights that were predominately Black, and as I eventually learned with the justification that "Black people don't tip."

As the final owner, I deeply apologize to our patrons who were mistreated by the Local Lounge. As I said, I was not the one who instituted the policy and it was eliminated as of January 2021. It is one of my of my greatest failures as an owner that I did not not address this earlier, and I apologize for that as well.

Local Legends returns to the Local Lounge, bringing PDX Drag, Burlesque and Exotic Dance Legends to Local Lounge's fabulous outdoor patio. Hosted by Valerie DeVille and Nikki Lev.

Join us Saturday, November 20th and other than this special edition, 3rd Saturdays. PS The patio rules: multiple tents, lots of seating, fire pit, outdoor bar, good stage visibility... the works! PS We might move the show inside for weather if need be!

Show starts at 8 PM, ends by 10 PM the latest, Local Lounge stays open late! This is based upon the show being outside… if it moves inside, we can go a lil’ later!
