$25,000 Matching Challenge starts now! With your help, we are hiring a part-time Gardener in July. Our horticulture team was downsized from four to two staff members this spring, and incredible volunteers stepped up to keep the Garden beautiful. Now, as summer maintenance increases, we need more staff gardening support. That's where you come in.
Generous donors have pledged $25,000 to match every gift raised this month—and we're already underway with $4,729 raised! Every dollar you give is doubled.
A part-time Gardener means a more sustainable team and a future for the 2,000 plants that make Leach Botanical Garden what it is.
Donate today for match! Link on our website or comments. Thank you for your continued support! 💚

We just love getting to hang out with other public gardens! Last week, the awesome team at The Oregon Garden donated their staff time to come work at Leach Botanical Garden. Together, we installed plants on the Woodland Hillside and cleaned up areas around the Far Meadow. We’re so thankful for our beautiful community and the love we share for this special place.

Join us for a conversation with one of the Pacific Northwest’s most beloved horticulturists, Richie Steffen, Executive Director of the Elisabeth C. Miller Botanical Garden in Shoreline, Washington. On Saturday, June 20 from 5 to 7:30 p.m., Steffen will explore how exotic and native plants can coexist beautifully in a resilient, expressive landscape at this event. Tickets are $100 and available at the link in the comments or on our website. All proceeds benefit Leach Botanical Garden and are fully tax deductible.
The special event is limited to just 50 tickets and includes a tour with Richie around the Pollinator Garden and upper Woodland Hillside, highlighting native and exotic plants. Guests will also enjoy refreshments (wine, n/a beverages, and other tasty snacks) thanks to our Event Sponsor and community partners Bartlett Tree Experts. Bartlett Tree ExpertsBartlett Tree Experts
If you’ve ever wrestled with the question of what belongs in a Pacific Northwest garden, this is a great program to attend! Thank you for your support of the Garden.
