Your Audition will include

Vocalizing to see your range
Melody memorization
Sight-singing
Rhythm reading
And singing verse one on your chosen voice part of the Road Home.

Materials available upon sign-up.

If time allows) You should prepare a short song or part of a song (approx. 30 - 60 seconds long) that you can sing by yourself with no piano or backing track. The song can be Classical, Music Theater, Folk or Pop Music.

Don’t miss your chance to hear esperanza spalding perform as guest artist in the much-anticipated world premiere of Darrell Grant’s “My Father Digging,” based on Seamus Heaney’s famous poem “Digging.” This premiere is just one of many great works at the Portland State University Choirs concert “Tapestry of Time,” featuring the PSU Chamber Choir, Thorn Choir and Rose Choir. The choirs will perform selections from around the world, bookended with music by female composers Hildegard von Bingen from the Middle Ages and Elaine Hagenberg, our most popular living composer. Don’t miss this spectacular choir season opener!
